The procedure of a thigh lift surgery
Well-defined thighs are probably the dream of every woman. Those who opt for tightening the thighs chose a permanent change that helps maintain the desired result in the long run. There are two possible methods: in a horizontal thigh lift, a horizontal incision is made along the groin fold under general anaesthesia. This type of tightening is only suited for removing smaller amounts of excess skin in the upper thigh area. A large-area lift can be achieved only by a vertical incision along the entire inner area of the thighs. In any case, in combination with liposuction, a thigh lift ensures a permanent removal of excess skin, which significantly reduces the overall thigh volume.
The procedure is generally performed under general anaesthesia, and the surgery can take between one and three hours. It is absolutely necessary to wear compression garments for four weeks so the remaining fat can adjust to the new thigh shape. Bruises, pain and swelling are greatly reduced this way. After one to two weeks, the patient can return to her daily routine but sports should be avoided for at least eight to twelve weeks.
